The story began 18 years ago when Gary and Joanne relocated the family to the quaint ocean town of Cohasset, MA just 25 miles southwest of Boston. Gary, an experienced executive having led large businesses within Tier 1 Global Companies, was recruited in 2004 to lead the expansion of the PepsiCo Foods’ business in the Northeastern US.
While living in Massachusetts, Gary and Joanne fell in love with the architectural beauty and coastal design elements of the region, so much so that when the couple moved back to Canada in 2007, they were determined to bring that “coastal feel” with them.
In 2010, they embarked on their first custom home project together with a local builder, taking style cues from some of their favourite New England destinations including Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. This first project received the praise and appreciation of residents within the community, and it was that experience that became the launch pad for their journey into helping others build their own custom home.
Gary’s corporate experience is what sets him apart. As a highly driven and experienced leader, he has enjoyed tremendous success throughout his 30+ year corporate career leveraging his ability to effectively strategize, plan, organize and deliver.
Joanne Scullion began her career in the dental field and as Gary took on new work opportunities across North America, she developed her natural flare for design and decorating. Joanne has used her passion and creativity to turn blank canvases into warm and inviting spaces. Joanne’s easy temperament and desire to help people is a calming influence particularly for those embarking on a custom build project for the first time.
